Life’s A Beach
I know how lucky I am. I live near the beach. I have a lovely wife. I really enjoy my work producing high quality photographs for corporate clients. Sometimes people act surprised to hear that I have never surfed. I have been here most of my life. I have blond hair. I do like the water. Maybe it is because I was never gifted with much coordination. Maybe it was the movie Jaws. Surfing never interested me.
But I do love the Huntington Beach pier. It is a good walk to the end and back after having dinner on Main Street. I proposed to my wife on the Huntington Beach Pier. It is a great place to view the sunset or to check out the people laying half naked in the sand below.
Huntington Beach pier takes a pounding.
There are times that I do avoid going to the pier. I am a local. I don’t need to go there on weekends during the summer. Too crazy, and parking, forget about it. Last week was different.
There was a storm off the coast of Baja California producing high waves all up and down Orange County. It was a Tuesday morning. No photo shoots planned for the day. Great time to jump on my bike and peddle down to the pier. When nature puts on a show like this you go…and you take your camera.
